Job Purpose:

The role exists to profitably grow the Coating, Adhesive, Sealant, and Elastomer (CASE) Market Vertical, managing both current and future principal supplier relationships.  The primary responsibilities include close collaboration with our sales teams and our Principal Suppliers driving commercial/business development, program and product management, profitability enhancement to facilitate the maintenance and growth of our key principal business base. The Principal Manager will be responsible to execute the strategy of our Principals through the Maroon Group sales team and manage all aspects of the Principal Supplier relationship.

Knowledge and Experience:

 

Education and Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree, Masters is preferred
  • Chemistry or other sciences preferred
  • Project Management

Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum 15 years industry experience; Specialty Chemicals, Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants or Elastomers Industries
  • Sales and Marketing – technical sales focus with specialty products
  • Technology/Applications Sales
  • Customer service orientation
  • Business development driven
  • Business and market analysis
  • Exceptional organizational, planning and communication skills
  • International Business

Responsibilities/Requirements:

  • Current Principal administration/relationship management (assigned list)
  • Develop and execute a business plan for assigned Principals or markets
  • Partner with Principals to develop growth programs that will deliver high value to our customers and above average mutual profitable growth.
